The newspaper El Mundo has once again published its ranking of the best 250 master's programmes in Spain, selected from over 1,000 options. This detailed study has been published for 20 years and analyses 25 criteria with the help of more than 800 experts, including students, teaching staff, alumni, and business leaders. A total of 10 master's programmes in the fields of Social Sciences, Communication, Education, Health, and Urban Planning from the University are ranked in the top 5 in Spain.
Once again, the Master’s Degree in International Relations has been ranked first as the best in Spain, noted for the national and international recognition of the Royal Institute of European Studies and the high satisfaction of its students.
Three of our master’s programmes in Journalism are again featured among the best: the Lifelong Learning Master’s Degree in Journalism-El Mundo, the Master’s Degree in Radio-COPE, and the Lifelong Learning Master’s Degree in Sports Journalism (Marca). Additionally, in the field of Communication, within specialised information master's programs, the Master’s Degree in Fashion and Beauty (Telva-Yo Dona) stands out. These programmes are noted for the experience of their teaching staff, the prestige of the media where the internships are conducted, and the career paths of their alumni.
The Inter-University Master’s in Drug Discovery from our University, Complutense University, and the University of Alcalá de Henares is once again the second-best master’s in its category in Spain. El Mundo highlights the collaboration with the pharmaceutical industry and its top-tier school as key differentiators.
The Master’s Degree in Invasive Physiotherapy retains its third place as the best in its category. This programme is notable for its renowned school and students’ access to advanced technology through collaboration agreements with major companies in the sector. The Master’s Degree Teacher Training for Secondary Education and Baccalaureate has risen to third place, noted for its commitment to quality teaching, innovation, research, internships, and internationalisation. It also emphasises its goal of full employment for its students.
The Lifelong Learning Master’s Degree in Urban Planning and Land Management has also improved its position this year. It is highlighted as the only programme in Spain that combines five areas: Management, Technical, Legal, Sustainability, and Real Estate-Economy. The fourth position among the best programs in its category.
