On Tuesdays throughout February and March, the Sala Clamores in Madrid will host Universifest, the first music festival (pop-rock and related genres) for university bands. This initiative is organised by the university’s Campus Life, and has been joined by the universities Francisco de Vitoria, Pontificia de Comillas, Alfonso X El Sabio, the Fundación Cultural Ángel Herrera Oria Ángel Herrera Oria and the Sala Clamores itself. Bands from the Polytechnic University of Madrid will also perform.

The main objective of the festival is to offer a platform where young university students can improve and develop artistically, while consolidating a network of interacting musicians to bring about new musical, artistic or business initiatives.

The concerts will take place every Tuesday during February and March, from 20:30 to 23:00. Ten student bands and five soloists will take part. For a band to perform in the festival, at least two of its members must be enrolled in the 2022-2023 academic year on an official course (Bachelor’s Degree or Master's) at a Spanish university and be under 30 years of age. In the case of duets or trios, at least one of the members must meet the previous requirements. The festival will culminate with a performance by two bands formed by university professors and staff: 'Free Folkin' (University CEU San Pablo) and 'Peláez and the Hounds of Hell' (Francisco de Vitoria).

The festival’s full programme can be found on the website https://universifest.es/ and at https://www.salaclamores.es/calendario, where tickets can also be purchased.
