The Schools of Law, Economics and Business, and Medicine of the University have been awarded Institutional Accreditation, a recognition that representatives of the three Schools have received from the director of the madri+d Knowledge Foundation, Federico Morán, and the Director General of Universities of the Community of Madrid, Nicolás Javier Casas. The three centres join the School of Pharmacy, the Institute of Technology, and the Royal Institute of European Studies in this accreditation, and the School of Humanities and Communication Sciences is awaiting this recognition in the coming months.
The rector, Rosa Visiedo, has pointed out that "this achievement shows the maturity and commitment we have to our quality actions, but it also demands greater responsibility in the process of continuous improvement of our teachings, recognising all their strengths, good practices, and of course, the areas for improvement."
For his part, the director of the Madri+d Foundation, Federico Morán, has congratulated the institution for this effort: "The University has taken another step forward in the concept of responsibility, recognition, and university autonomy. CEU, as a university, is in a good position to achieve institutional accreditation for the University as a whole." In this line, the Director General of Universities of the Community of Madrid, Nicolás Javier Casas, has emphasised that "this achievement can only be reached by an institution that indeed demonstrates trajectory, maturity, and rigour in the studies it offers. The tradition and quality of education are what distinguish you as a university, and I believe this accreditation is a faithful reflection of that."
