More than 1,700 students have celebrated the end of their university journey with their classmates, professors, and families, reminiscing about their years of education, sharing studies and friendship, marked by adapting to new ways of learning. In total, eight graduation ceremonies have been held for the Schools of Law, Economics and Business, Humanities and Communication Sciences, Medicine, Pharmacy, and the Institute of Technology.
This academic year, the Graduation Ceremonies have been sponsored by the CEO of Generali, Carlos Escudero, the president of EY Spain, Federico Linares, the president of the Official College of Pharmacists of Madrid, Manuel Martínez del Peral, the CEO of Garrigues, Fernando Vives Ruíz, the Health Counselor of the Community of Madrid, Fátima Matute Teresa, the general manager of HP, Inés Bermejo, the president of the College of Dentists and Stomatologists of the I Region, Marisol Ucha, and the journalist and presenter of Telecinco News, Carlos Franganillo.
The rector of the University, Rosa Visiedo, who presided over the Graduation Ceremonies, congratulated students for reaching this milestone, which “not only symbolises an end, but a beginning: the beginning of the new life adventure that you will undertake, armed with the knowledge, skills, and values that you have acquired.”
Likewise, Visiedo reminded them that “each of you is now an ambassador of CEU culture: a culture of excellence, vocation of service, and responsibility. Care for and develop the legacy you have cultivated here. Use it to improve not only your lives, but also to positively influence the communities you will serve, in your workplaces and in all spheres of society.”
In this sense, the rector has encouraged the graduates to continue living the values of the University wherever they go and has reaffirmed the commitment to each of them, as permanent members of the CEU community. "We will continue to be here to support you, advise you, and celebrate your future achievements, whatever they may be. We hope you maintain your connection with us, not only as Alumni, but as future collaborators in a shared mission: to make this world a better place for everyone."
