The Vice-Rector for Internationalisation, Ainhoa
Uribe, took part in the 8th International Conference on Educational Innovation
(CIIE) at the Tecnológico de Monterrey. During her speech she shared her vision
of online internationalisation together with the Vice President for
Internationalisation of the University of Toronto, Joseph Wong, in a debate
moderated by the Vice Rector for Academic Affairs, Faculty and
Internationalisation of the Tecnológico de Monterrey, Ignacio de la Vega, which
was attended by more than 600 participants.
In her speech, Uribe commented on the digitalisation
process at Universidad CEU San Pablo and pointed out that the strategy being
implemented prior to COVID allowed us to adapt to the new situation and
guarantee quality education for our students. She also presented COILS as an
example of successful internationalisation from home and highlighted that we
are the only Spanish university that offers American certificates compatible
with all its undergraduate degrees.
During the hybrid event, experts from around the world
shared educational trends and future expectations in the context of the
COVID-19 pandemic. This edition, held over four days, attracted more than 5,000
attendees from 34 countries who participated in keynote speeches and other
education-related events.
The main objectives of the CIIE conference are to
identify trends, challenges and opportunities in the current educational world;
to propose new teaching-learning methods and tools that the new generations
demand; and to promote the creation and strengthening of a multidisciplinary
network of specialists who exchange experiences, good practices and value
propositions.
