Despite the current health circumstances, CEU San Pablo University has continued
its incessant task of facilitating the international experience for its
students, as well as opening its doors to welcome foreign students. As a result,
the Vice-Rector's Office for
Internationalization has signed 18
new agreements - in addition to the 350 current agreements with
universities in more than 40 countries- and has secured 15 of its existing exchange agreements with university
institutions in Europe, America, Asia and Oceania.
Among the most recent incorporations, it is worth
highlighting institutions such as Hangdong University (South Korea), The Catholic
University of America (United States), The University of Queensland (Australia),
Hang Seng University (Hong Kong), University of Wisconsin Stout (United States)
and Murdoch University (Australia). Agreements
have also been consolidated with the Universidad Católica de Argentina; the
Universidad del Desarrollo (Chile); and the Instituto Tecnológico de Monterrey
(México), among others.
The pandemic has not prevented students from looking
forward to an international experience, and due to the wide range of
destinations on offer, the International Mobility Office has received a total
of 1057 applications. Finally, the CEU USP has granted 575 mobility places for the next academic year, 2021-22.
Despite the pandemic, the university has received a
total of 214 exchange students this academic year. Likewise, 168 CEU students are
currently taking part in an international placement. With the addition ofrecent
agreements, this number may well increase by a further 150 new exchange places. This
will be for students studying degrees in International Relations, Law
and Criminology (Law School); Economics and Business Intelligence (School of
Economics and Business; Humanities (School of Humanities and Communication
Sciences); Physiotherapy, Genetics and Psychology (School of Medicine);
Pharmacy and Biotechnology (School of Pharmacy); and Architecture (Institute of
Technology).
