Agreement with the Galapagar Town Hall

Universidad CEU San Pablo and the Galapagar Town Hall have reached an agreement to promote a scholarship programme that supports the university education of young people in the municipality. The mayor of Galapagar, Carla Isabel Greciano, and the rector of the University, Rosa Visiedo, have signed this collaboration agreement, accompanied by the manager of CEU USP, Carmen García de Elías, the Vice-Rector for Students and University Life, Ángel Bartolomé, and the Councillor for Education of Galapagar, Beatriz Gutiérrez.

Under this agreement, called the “CEU Merit Programme” scholarships collaboration between the two institutions has been established to promote a scholarship programme for young residents of Galapagar. The University commits to offering 4 scholarships each academic year (2 covering 100% of fees and 2 covering 65% of fees) for undergraduate studies. The goal is to reward academic talent and train not only good professionals but also young leaders with the ability to think critically, with strong values, with the determination to act, and committed to transforming society for the better and creating a more just world for all.

This scholarship programme includes 2 ‘Merit Programme 100’ scholarships, which cover the full tuition fees for the chosen degree in accordance with Universidad CEU San Pablo Merit Scholarship regulations. Candidates who have completed or are currently completing the Spanish Baccalaureate or International Baccalaureate having achieved an average grade of 9 or higher in the first and second years of the Spanish Baccalaureate system are eligible to apply.

Additionally, there are 2 ‘Merit Programme 65’ scholarships available, which cover 65% of the tuition fees for the chosen degree in accordance with Universidad CEU San Pablo Merit Scholarship regulations. Candidates who have completed or are currently completing the Spanish Baccalaureate or International Baccalaureate with an average grade of 7 or higher, calculated over the first and second years of the Spanish Baccalaureate system, are eligible to apply.

This collaboration will also promote the organisation of activities that may be of general interest or facilitate access to certain educational or cultural services for the residents of Galapagar.
