CEU San Pablo University and
the Ministry of Defense have reached
an agreement to create the Aula for
Military Health, with the aim of promoting and adapting the profiles of
Health Science students at the university to the present and future job market
needs. The Undersecretary of Defense, Adoración
Mateos, and the Rector of the University, Rosa Visiedo, have signed a General
Protocol of Action at the Central Defense Academy to promote this new
learning space in the School of Medicine.
At
the same time, this agreement aims to raise awareness of the Ministry of
Defence and, specifically, of Military Health in the university environment,
thus promoting a sense of synergy that favours mutual understanding and other
opportunities between the parties. The Aula for Military Health CEU will serve
as a space for holding information seminars designed in coordination between
the Ministry of Defence and CEU USP, as well as a place for innovation and
entrepreneurship, suitable for solving challenges proposed by the Ministry.
The
Aula will have a Monitoring Committee, whose two-fold role will be to supervise
and control the implementation of this General Protocol within the framework of
the actions derived therefrom, and also to propose the annual plan of
activities. This committee will be co-directed by the Dean of the School of
Medicine, Tomás Chivato, and the
Director of the Military School of Medicine, Colonel María Vicenta García Rosado.
