Centres and institutes

Audiovisual Centre

Composed of:
- Professional radio studios
- Television sets with Geevs technology
- Post-production rooms
- Non-linear editing classrooms
- Set, digital lab and analogue photo lab
- The Agency, a real advertising agency for students
- OnCEULab, Spain's first university student-run digital multimedia platform
- CEU Media, a platform for audiovisual creation

All these resources are available to the students of the School of Humanities and Communication Sciences, through an equipment loan service and room booking service to carry out the practical work of subjects, the Final Degree Projects (TFG) and their individual projects.
 

European Documentation Centre

This is an information resource centre on the European Union that belongs to the network of centres created by the European Commission, and whose purpose is to provide information and documentation on European integration to members of the university community and to any institution or citizen.

Language Centre and Laboratories

This service organises and delivers a complete range of language courses offered by the University; preparatory courses for official exams, specialised modern language courses, training seminars by level and complementary language courses in coordination with the Official School of Languages and other official international institutions.

Professional careers

Each School has an Employment Guidance and Information Centre, managed by an expert in professional guidance, to attend to the needs of our students and graduates in an individual and personalised way. Each COIE also collaborates with the main companies, firms and institutions in its sector to optimise the selection and incorporation of students into the labour market.

Institutions and research centres

At the University we are firmly committed to research, one of the main pillars of our project of excellence and search for talent. Through the faculties and institutes specialised in the study of specific disciplines, the University is currently developing more than 78 externally funded research projects.

Research Results Transfer Office (OTRI)

The Office for the Transfer of Research Results (OTRI) is the unit of the Vice-Rectorate for Research responsible for promoting and managing relations between the University and the business environment in the field of research and technological innovation, and works in close collaboration with the Research Management Unit (UGI).

Institute of Democracy Studies

The Institute for the Study of Democracy (ID) is a multidisciplinary centre for research and postgraduate studies attached to Universidad CEU San Pablo. Its activity is focused on promoting research and studies on political thought, democracy, economics and the rule of law.

Institute for Family Studies

The Institute of Family Studies of Universidad CEU San Pablo is a Centre for research, teaching and advice on marriage and the family. It develops research projects on: Marriage, family, life, education, family and work conciliation, fostering and adoption, elderly people and carers, family and media and gender ideology". The CEU Institute for Historical Studies, a meeting point for historians and history enthusiasts with a concern for the search for truth, offers a vision of our past as the fruit of man's freedom to construct his history.

University Institute for European Studies

The University Institute for European Studies, Jean Monnet European Centre of Excellence, is a higher research centre of Universidad CEU San Pablo, specialising in the study and analysis of European integration and other aspects of international relations. It mainly carries out research, teaching and dissemination activities, highlighting all of our postgraduate programmes.

CIOCC (Clara Campal Integrated Cancer Centre)

The Clara Campal Integrated Oncology Centre (CIOCC) is a centre attached to the HM Sanchinarro University Hospital that researches new medical techniques for the treatment of cancer.

IMMA (Institute of Applied Molecular Medicine) Nemesio Díez

The IMMA is a centre for the development of specialised research, teaching and technology transfer activities of the School of Medicine and its associated hospitals, in subjects related to the Physiology, Pathology, Diagnosis and Therapeutics of Human Diseases, from a specifically cellular, molecular and genetic perspective.

Institute for the Study of Addictions (IEA-CEU)

It applies an interdisciplinary approach to research on addictive behaviours with the aim of making progress in their prevention and treatment. The IEA-CEU addresses different aspects involved in addictions: anthropological, sociological, legal, educational, biological, psychological, medical, etc. This holistic, transversal and humanist orientation pursues a superior strategy of action, thus favouring the achievement of approaches as innovative and effective as those demanded by society.

CEU Food and Society University Institute (IAS-CEU

It was created with the aim of promoting teaching and research work in the field of the social aspects of food. The IAS-CEU aims to respond to the interdisciplinary nature of the food and nutrition problem, which requires approaches from different disciplines, to give visibility to the role of the Social Doctrine of the Church in the eradication of malnutrition and the improvement of nutrition in vCEMBIO was created in response to the emerging need to increase the information that can be obtained from biological samples, in the search for the most exhaustive characterisation possible to identify the altered processes and associated markers in different pathologies, as well as the evolution of the system in response to a treatment.ulnerable populations, as well as the necessary ethical and bioethical considerations in food.

CEMBIO (Centre of Excellence in Metabolomics and Bioanalysis)

Ángel Ayala Humanities Institute

The Ángel Ayala CEU Institute of Humanities is an institution of Fundación Universitaria San Pablo CEU created for the development and dissemination of humanistic thought, in full fidelity to the Magisterium of the Church. It aims to be a point of reference for Spanish culture and a place of encounter, dialogue and intellectual exchange for those who seek the truth. It develops its activities mainly in the broad field of the humanities, and specifically in the areas of History, Art, Philosophy and Thought, Literature, Social Doctrine of the Church and in the humanistic aspects of the Natural Sciences.

Centre for Research in Communication Trends CEUCITEC

The main objective of the Centre for Communication Trends is the development of research projects in the area of communication that bring added value to the educational institution, business partners, staff and society in general.

Spanish Cultural Heritage Centre

The aim of the centre is the study, conservation and dissemination of Spanish cultural and humanistic heritage from a multidisciplinary academic perspective that integrates research, teaching, transfer, cultural management and archaeological surveys.
