In this last academic year 2017_2018, the USP Alumni area was strengthened and strengthened, under the responsibility of the Marketing area, incorporating M. Jesús Lago, as Head of the Alumni area for USP.
The Alumni becomes the protagonist of the Action Plan with a value proposition based on LINKING INITIATIVES that include:
-
Actions of continuous training, professional development and updating by area of knowledge, involving the faculties of the University, with the aim of increasing the impact and professional competence of our Alumni.
-
Employability support actions, both from the point of view of employment (Outplacement and Mentoring programmes); and from the point of view of entrepreneurship (Aula emprende, training itineraries for the promotion of entrepreneurship as an employment option; as well as acceleration and mentoring programmes for business initiatives in the development phase). The job bank managed through the Career Center (Job Teaser platform) of the University incorporates access through the Alumni website with offers especially aimed at our alumni, professionals with experience.
-
These actions help to consolidate the global alumni network and allow us to build an enriching networking, creating circles of interest. In this sense we can highlight, in addition to the online directory, the different international alumni meetings; or the anniversary meetings of the promotions.
-
Actions that promote culture, sport, leisure and solidarity. We highlight initiatives such as the Bono Teatro and Bono Concierto, as well as leisure trips such as the one to Ribera Sacra or La Rioja.
-
We would also like to highlight the collaboration of alumni from different professional sectors, in areas such as Professional Careers, bringing their experience closer to the students, in debates and colloquium activities; sponsoring prizes and challenges between students and other alumni; etc. This demonstrates and highlights the pride of belonging; collaboration, influence and impact on society; encouraging critical thinking among young people and reinforcing the prestige of CEU with its professionalism and prestige.
-
To enhance and reinforce the pride of belonging to the community, for the second consecutive year two alumni, senior (Jaime de Jaraíz) and junior (Marta Victoria de Oriol Ocejo) have been awarded in the Alumni Category of the XXI Edition of the Angel Herrera Awards, rewarding their professional and personal career.
-
We work on the visibility of our protagonists through communication actions on social networks (Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn), on the alumni web blog, as well as through the four-monthly magazine CEU Views, where we highlight appointments, awards, cases of entrepreneurship, internationalisation... Our alumni are our best brand ambassadors.
